Founded in Southern California, Mountain Apothecary is a small brand that strives to produce products that are minimalistic yet luxurious. We pair rich scents with quality ingredients to create items for various needs.
With a start in candles, months of testing have gone into creating the perfect product. The desire to create candles that burn clean without headache inducing fragrance is the base of this brand. With much success, the exploration into other luxury goods persisted. Many more products are on the horizon within the brand.
The founder of Mountain Apothecary, Nick, has passion for creating a product that is desired by many. Born and raised in Germany, he has always had a love for crafts and DIY projects. Upon moving to the US, which is where he got his first job at a department store and discovered body and skincare, he started to dream about owning a company. From that point on the passion grew as he dabbled in several fields until ultimately discovering the joy of making candles.
The first version of the Mountain Apothecary candle did not quite fulfill the luxury look that we had in mind. However, it was a create learning experience to further better our products. Shortly after the first candle release, cold processed soaps became our next venture.
Much like with the first candles, our first bar soaps were an eye opening experience to create the best version of this product. With much feedback, we were able to create what we think is the perfect bar soap.
